Yes, eating right and exercise is important to the body. Keeping healthy is something we must do as we must keep the vessel of our soul in perfect working condition. Good health and our contributions are the keys to a long, well-lived, active life. But what of soul nourishment? So many of us are diligent when taking care of physical needs, but we fall short when it comes time to care for the soul. Here are some simple techniques to make sure your body and soul get its necessary nurturing too.
1. If You are Falling Short on Your Physical Well-being, Get Busy Tending to Your Body.
The physical vessel you have chosen for this lifetime is the only one you’ve got. To ignore your health is to ignore the vessel carrying your soul through this physical plane. It can hinder your spiritual development when you do not care for the body properly. If you get sick your vibrations lower and this can cause difficulty in the face of spiritual ascension. It also makes keeping positive more difficult. Respect the physical body. After discussing it with your doctor and getting approval, begin a light impact exercise regimen. Examine your diet and cut those things that are toxic to the body. Aim at consuming more vegetables, lean meats, and fewer fast or processed foods. Also, maintain your hydration. Remember, the body is about 90 percent water. Consume up to eight glasses of water each day.
2: Mindfully Meditate for Peace, Harmony, and Reality Control.
Even if you cannot seem to enter a full meditation, just sitting quietly for about ten minutes can help produce similar results. Silence allows you time to calm the body and mind. The stillness of the mind helps you calm the monkey mind and erratic thoughts. Daily meditation will serve you best, however. It can help you learn to control your inner reality which reflects your outer world. You will find harmony and peace through meditation. You can then bring these energies into your reality.
3: Create an Environment Conducive to Positivity.
If your environment is not comfortable, it is tough to still be positive. Clutter can disrupt the energies of the home, weigh you down, and tire you. Clutter also draws more negativity. If you have your home filled with useless things there is no room for new things to come into your life. The clutter causes stagnate energies and these energies produce a physical effect. Clean up the clutter, sage the house, bless it and turn on some lovely music to change the entire atmosphere around you. Feed your soul with beautiful things including art, flowers, and music.
4: Be Grateful and Mind Your Intentions.
Have gratitude for the things you do have and express it daily. Write it in a journal or say it aloud. Clearing the house of clutter is one way to show gratitude for all you do have. It shows respect for your environment and what surrounds you. Now do a clearing of your thoughts. Have you been focusing on negative things lately? Let it go. Release negative thoughts and replace your thinking with positive thoughts and intentions. At first, this will be a task as negative thoughts are habit forming. You will have to make a conscious effort to free yourself from lower vibrations. Show gratitude for the smallest of blessings in your life. Realize you choose the reality you live.
5. Love Yourself and Empathize with Others.
Don’t be too hard on yourself. Remember you need to love yourself. If you put yourself down or allow insecurities to attack you on a mental level all the time, it lowers your vibrations. Increase your vibration with acts of self-love. Pamper yourself. Take your time to enjoy life. Also, be kinder with others. Walk a mile in the shoes of another and you will begin to understand the world from their point of view. If you give empathy you receive empathy in return. Lift the spirits of another and feel your own spirit lifting at the same time. Love is the staple nourishing factor for your soul. Don’t be afraid to smile at someone and say hello to someone you don’t know. Reach out to others to connect with them. We are all connected through the universe. Acknowledge the connection.
6. Let Go of Stress.
You will meet many challenges in life. There in no point is stressing over challenges or obstacles. Look at these things as if they are soul lessons. It makes it easier to let stress go. Do not dwell on events or mistakes you have made in the past. Do not sit and worry about the days to come. Being mindful makes it easier for you to live a life a joy. Joyful living is another means of lifting your spirit and feeding your soul. Make the conscious choice to close the doors on negativity.
7. Continue to Feed the Mind.
You can’t feed the soul if you don’t feed your mind. You are here to learn life lessons and to grow. If you give up on learning new things, you will stop the evolution of your soul. Make it a habit to learn something new constantly. Read, write, travel, or explore. Interact with others and learn from their experience. Strive to be a sage of life. Your soul will thank you for it.
Put these simple seven steps into action to improve your life. You will notice improvements on a physical and spiritual level. You might also see your energy changes so much you will draw people to you. Be becoming proactive in the physical and working on your spiritual growth, you step out of passivity. You refuse to accept a mediocre life. You take charge of your physical and spiritual well-being and forgo the muddy waters of circumstance. Now is the time to let your being thrive and soar!
